Heading to the scene?
Buses will transport onlookers to view the house under construction this week by “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition”
Spectators should park on the east side of Antioch roads. Buses will take them to the house, said Tony Libra, a spokesman for Kevin Green Homes Inc., the builder based in Parkville.
Buses will run from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. today through Sunday.
Police and private security have barricaded several streets near the house to keep outside traffic away and parking is limited in the Winnwood neighborhood. Residents inside the barricades have been issued passes, and school busses will run as normal.
Kansas City holds the record for onlookers attending a taping of an episode, said Diane Korman, senior producer for the show.
Up to 10,000 people a day lined the streets for taping two years ago when the show tore down a house and built another for the Stephen Johnson family of Kansas City, Korman said. |
