Decide what kind of home you want to buy

We feel it is wise to define your new home based on your specific needs. If you need to move quickly, you will want to consider a Kevin Green home in existing inventory. These residences offer all the benefits of a new home, but the initial design and building process have already been determined.

Select your home site

Kevin Green Homes builds in many desirable communities around Kansas City. We will meet with you to discuss and choose the location and design possibilities of your home site.

Secure financing

You will need to meet with your local banker to discuss the amount, interest rate and length of your home loan. Be prepared to verify income and produce tax returns, asset documentation and credit history. Keep in mind that your loan will only be approved when you finalize the sales contract, but you won’t assume the mortgage until the sale is closed.

Finalize sales contract

To varying degrees, the sales contract will specify the dimensions and features of the proposed home, materials to be used and the delivery date. It may seem a bit overwhelming, but reading and understanding all the documents is essential. We encourage you to ask questions.

Break ground

Home construction typically takes 8 months or less. Construction time depends on the complexity of the home, availability of tradesmen and materials and, of course, the weather.
